Use Zoundry Raven with Wordpress
I prefer desktop-based blog editors instead of using default post editor in wordpress, because they let me write and post my blog offline, and also avoid the bad impact of network transmission.
The first thing I do after installing wordpress is looking for a blog editor from a list of 15+ Alternatives. I tried some of them, then choose Zoundry Raven. In fact, Windows Live Writer is also pretty good, but I do hate it’s data storage method, some in system partition, the others in the registry. But Zoundry Raven can be installed as a portable application, it keep the user data in its install directory, so I needn’t back it up then restore it every time when I reinstall my system.
When I try to add my blog to Zoundry Raven, I got an error “Error fetching list of blogs”, then I found the solution on the official website. Here’s how:
- Login to WordPress 2.6 Administration Console and go to Settings -> Writing.
- Check the “XML-RPC” checkbox found under the Remote Publishing section. (see screen shot below).
